Nungesser attends retirement distribution and business insurance seminar

Daniel Nungesser II, a Modern Woodmen of America managing partner in Newnan, has completed a five-day educational program at Modern Woodmen’s home office in Rock Island, Ill.

The advanced training program focused on helping business owners with Modern Woodmen life insurance plans, annuities and IRAs. Additional emphasis was given to the use of employee benefit plans in various types of businesses. Training also included strategies to help provide income from retirement assets and pension plans to those approaching retirement.

Founded in 1883, Modern Woodmen of America, the fraternal financial services organization offers financial products and fraternal member benefits to individuals and families throughout the United States.

Nominations for the 2018 Small Business ROCK STARS open

This year will be the fifth year the Georgia’s Small Business ROCK STARS honors the most outstanding and impactful small businesses in the state. Nominations for the 2018 Small Business ROCK STARS opened Tuesday, Aug. 1. The deadline to apply is Oct. 31.

Small business is big business in Georgia with nearly 98 percent of Georgia businesses employing less than 100 people. The state ranks fifth in the U.S. for small business optimism – customers, employees, financial health of industry (Womply, 5/17).

The 2018 ROCK STAR winners will be chosen in the spring and honored at a special luncheon in Atlanta on March 19, 2018.
